OUR MISSION
The Maryland DC Association or Play therapy aims to enhance the status of play therapy as a profession, provide professional growth opportunities for our members, and to expand state and national membership.
WHAT WE OFFER
TRAININGS
We offer high-quality continuing education (CE) trainings designed for mental health professionals who are Registered Play Therapists™ (RPT™) or are pursuing the Registered Play Therapist™ credential. Our trainings provide evidence-based, play therapy-specific education that supports professional growth while meeting APT continuing education requirements
OUTREACH
We promote awareness of the play therapy profession by providing education to mental health professionals, students, and community partners about the benefits of play therapy and the value of membership in the Association for Play Therapy (APT) and the Maryland/DC Association for Play Therapy.
NETWORKING
We provide opportunities for play therapists to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful professional relationships through networking events that foster community, mentorship, and the exchange of ideas.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Members have the opportunity to serve in leadership roles within the Maryland/DC Association for Play Therapy, helping to advance the profession while developing leadership skills, expanding professional connections, and shaping the future of play therapy in our region.
